Palmeiras split rest from return-to-play work during the World Cup pause

Palmeiras gave most of its squad three weeks off during the World Cup pause but kept the forward Vitor Roque at the training centre after ankle surgery, splitting rest from rehab inside the same break.
ge reported that Palmeiras sent most players on three weeks of holiday during the World Cup pause, with a June 21st evening return to the Academia de Futebol, while Vitor Roque kept reporting to the CT to recover from left ankle surgery. The club planned to send the squad a remote activity booklet from its Núcleo de Saúde e Performance near the end of the break, and saw the gap helping Paulinho move closer to full condition. 1
